About Me

I was born in Manchester and have lived in this great city all my life. My interest in photography started at the age of 22 during a trip to New York with a camera that i had borrowed from family.

New York City with it's urban landscape and iconic buildings inspired me more than i could have ever imagined. This really was the beginning of my journey.

My search for a career took me into IT but my passion for photography remained. Manchester is a big playground for an urban photographer and a few years ago i decided to exploit this and built up a portfolio of images showing off what this fantastic city has to offer. I also teach photography and offer urban walks around Manchester, it's a great way to see the city and be creative at the same time.

I continue to build up my Manchester collection because as much as New York inspired me and the pictures spent many years on my walls, having travelled to may cities around the world i had never seen any iconic pictures of Manchester. I have set myself a personal goal to change that and to have people proud to hand an amazing piece of Iconic Manchester on their wall.

As well as an urban landscape this city has great people, sports, musicians and so the list goes own. Each with their own story to tell and journey to take. Since building up my urban portfolio i have started to do more studio work, particularly fashion photography. This part of my photography has been more of an evolution rather than something that i had planned. It started with always being asked to photograph family and friends and being someone that loves working with people it was something that just came naturally to me.

Those that i have worked with have seen at first hand my passion for photography and if just a small percentage of that passion comes through in my pictures then i have achieved my goal.

Everyone has a gift, it just needs uncovering!
